I agree- it is party infighting. The GOP is notorious for this---look at the recent publicity about Hugh Hewitt and the Victory Caucus, who are targeting the 17 Republicans who voted for Pelosi's surge disapproval resolution in the House. They also have Club for Growth which has successfully run conservative candidates against moderate GOP incumbents. "Take her out" means run a more liberal candidate against her, not rub her out with mafioso, lol.

Kos and the Kossacks don't like Tauscher because she isn't liberal enough for their taste and because she hurt the party by becoming too close with the republicans (note: 'Täuscher' is german for 'deceiver'). Parts of the GOP have attacked republican politicians in the past, too, for allegedly being too liberal (think of Linc Chaffee). That's just part of normal party infighting. Big deal. Barnett is simply whining that there's a new big player in town. It's about time beltway pundits like Barnett face the reality that the blogosphere is at their heels, and rightly so. At least bloggers fight in the open, and not behind the scenes like those elitist 'insider' posses of the past.
