I think the minimum pickup for the Democrats is three seats with maybe six at the max. There is only one Democrat who is the least bit vulnerable but there are several Republicans who will definitely lose.

If the Democrats can get to 58 to 59, then the Democrats can probably flip a Republican such as Snowe or Collins from Maine to get their sixty seats.

I get the updates from Sabato in email. When I looked at his list I couldn’t help but notice that Senator Bond of Missouri wasn’t on any of the lists and I could swear that he’s up for re-election in ‘08 after the junior senator from Missouri was defeated last year.
