Allen spent his years in the Senate with his lips pressed to the CIC's posterior. He shot himself in the foot with the "macacca" comment, and yes, the other side took advantage of the glitch. But it was his unswerving loyalty to Bush and his reckless foreign policy decisions that was the tipping point. I agree Rudi, Webb is just what this country needs. There is a tradeoff to be considered between national security and humanitarian aid in the potential for massive numbers of Iraqi refugees. While Goode certainly has different ideas than me on where that line should be drawn, the provided information doesn't make me think he is unwilling to listen to debate, nor unwilling to compromise. I think he’s wrong, but I don’t think his speach is insane.

There is a tradeoff to be considered between national security and humanitarian aid in the potential for massive numbers of Iraqi refugees.
