Wow. What gullibility.

A lawyer-blogger interviews a corporate MBA pushing his company's product, who tells demonstrable lies, misrepresents the science, and tries to silence debate by maintaining there is none, and that's science?

No, it's not. It's politics and salesmanship. Stein is in the business of selling carbon credits to assuage guilt--and to make a buck. He's VP of Marketing for TerraPass, and his advanced degree is an MBA. As are the advanced degrees held by most of the top staff at TerraPass. To make their bucks they must maintain a sense of panic.

"But a key point is that there is no scientific debate — there is not a single peer reviewed scientific journal article that disputes the reality of man-made climate change at this point."

He must not have been reading the same journals I have, as I've seen seen such peer-reviewed articles in the Proceedings of the Royal Society A, the Journal of Geophysical Research, the Journal of Atmospheric Science, and the Bulletin on the American Meteorological Society. That's just off the top of my head with no references handy. There is indeed still a very healthy debate ongoing about anthropogenic forcing as a factor in climate change, and there is no "consensus" on it. Nor is "consensus" a relevant scientific term, but a form of the logical fallacy of argumentum ad populum. It's a political argument, not a scientific one. And it's in politics where muzzling is going on, as folks like Stein try to actively squelch debate.

Mr. Stein is selling something. He hopes you'll buy, and help pay his salary and stock bonuses.
