And how exactly is Senator Obama i uniter? He wants the government to pick winners and losers, punish certain industries and professions while punishing others. How is that uniting anybody?

I do agree with you on that UIS- maybe we really are incapable of uniting as a country against common enemies. We are too busy fighting amongst ourselves. And that is a sad commentary. When you get someone like Obama that could possibly be a uniter, he gets ripped to shreds. You really do get the government you deserve.

The left thrives on it too Kritter. They are both guilty of polarizing America.

The right is terrified of Obama because he is winning support across party lines. The regular rules don't apply because of this broad appeal. He has come out against negative partisan bickering and divisive demagoguery, which the right thrives on to galvanize their base

In other words , he's not Hillary Clinton .That's a good thing . But now tell me who the hell he is .

I have looked at his webpage and Senator Obama is nothing more than Dick Durbin in black face. Would anyone vote for Dick Durbin for President.

I believe that the experience issue is important when Senator Obama claims that he can fix things with leadership. Where has he ever demonstrated than he can lead anything where everyone is not in agreement.

Of course everyone has a stake in the United States but people still have competing interest. The question all candidates should answer is how they will resolve issues when people disagree and cannot come to a consensus. The Republicans have taken the road of ignoring their opponents. The Democrats have taken the road of shouting down anyone they disagree with. What would Senator Obama do that is different?

He has plenty of policy stuff online. Check out his new site and he has loads on it. This is a straw horse just as the experience thing is.
Barack Obama has more government and legislative experience than Edwards or Clinton.
And check out his legislative record in the Senate. it is quite impressive.
All these knocks are straws by the clinton campaign because she knows Obama is the best candidate and the best person for the job.

I wished Obama had entered politicas about 10 years earlier. Id be singing his praises right now along with many of you.

I was most disturbed by his Im in the fray speech in which he laid out his Iraq plan with zero wiggle room. Come home and then they will sue for peace with each other. How naive is that. The sunni and the shia will be killing each other long after the USA leaves or doesnt leave. But despite that he has left no room....HE IS COMING HOME NO MATTER WHAT. But what if things Drastically change in the next 2 years there. What if somehow we suddenly make a miraculous break thru. What if things get better. What if there really is a lull and a peace and Iraq looks like its working......then what does he say.

WERE COMING HOME NO MATTER WHAT? Those DEFINITIVE, ABSOLUTES are a no no in politics and especially on the Foreign STAGE where things change daily. That is why Hillary at least keeps sidestepping the issue and appears to talk from both sides of her mouth. Her and her advisors at least understand this principal and are not going to paint themselves into a corner.

Remember GWB in his debate being asked about NationBuilding? HE said I dont think a president should be involved in it.....WEll 911 happened and guess what GWB is involved in? Another Inexperienced President bites the dust.

Experience counts. We need it desperately in this next Election. Do us all a favor Fellow Americans and turn to your Favorite Experienced Poltician whoever that is. I as yet am not endorsing anyone. I favor Rudi yet I've said even I do not believe he has the experience to run the WORLD STAGE. But My heart wants Rudi for his Centrist attitudes but my mind tells me he is not the man for the job because of his lack of experience as well. Hes my Obama.

A nice personality and a message of hope is certainly welcome. But sooner or later he will have to get more specific and detail specific policy positions on the contentious issues like entitlement reform. I hope he can maintain his 'above the fray' attitude when he gets attacked.

Guys Im not anti Obama. I just want him to have experience. Life as we know it will not occur in the next 10 years. Allow him the Serve as an ambassador to the UN rubbing shoulders and learning the ways of the world. Let him serve as Health and Human resources Secretary or perhaps homeland security. Let him spend 4 years as the Secretary of State and then let him run as President.

Times are tough, we need a tough president. I could be dead wrong but I want experience in the white house this time around, and lots of it.

Give me those 10 more years for Obama and Ill run his campaign. The same can be said for Hillary. Shes not much more Experienced then he is although I think her time of running the country ad hoc with Bills Consent probablly prepares her a bit more for the job then Obama.
