Condoleezza Amnesia
When you’re a big shot like Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, you can’t be expected to remember every piece of paper that crosses your desk, let alone who might have sat on the other side of it. But a pattern of forgetfulness has emerged in the six years that Rice has been national security advisor and then diplomat in chief that suggests a pathological condition.
For want of a more scientific term, let’s call it Condoleezza Amnesia, or CA for short.
The most pungent example of CA has been the July 2001 meeting in her White House office that she doesn’t recall having with CIA Director George Tenet and J. Cofer Black, the State Department’s counterterrorism guru.
Tenet and Black bore bad tidings: Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda posed a grave threat to the homeland. A few weeks later they were proven all too correct.

Good story on the spreading of unexplainable loss of memory in the WH. Persoanlly, I think that Cheney is the original source of infection. I wonder if the Media will report about Condi showing symptoms. Guess not.
Somewhat OT, but here’s another example about newsreporting in the US, that almost always favors brouhaha over really important stories:
“Breaking news: Young woman meets sudden, tragic death“
“the spreading of unexplainable loss of memory”
I realize now that this phrase is too long and somehwat inconvenient to use in a discussion. Maybe it’s better to use an abbreviation. I suggest we speak of PLAME, the permanent loss of ascertained memories effect.

I don’t think the objective has ever been to peacefully work things out with Iran, this administration is “stuck on stupid” and still want to go down in the history books for mowing down the great “Axis of Evil”. The only reason we haven’t attacked Iran is that we unexpectedly got stuck in Iraq.
Acknowledging Iran’s attempt to meet us halfway would have negated the need for regime change, which has been their goal the entire time. Condi is just using memory loss to protect her boss’ agenda, like Cheney and Libby were protecting W and his 16 words. Both Condi and Cheney are 100% loyalists- so to expect the truth from them is expecting too much.
I guess I have this entire story all wrong. Eight days after the break of this story, Richard Armitage went to the special prosecutor and said I did it.
But that wasnt good enough. So no they had to have a 2 year millions of dollars of investigations to prove yep Armitage did it but by golly now we forced Libby to lie so lets try him on perjury.
Talk about a witch hunt. The democrats are not angry. They are incensed and will stop at nothing. The problem they will face. The exact same things gonna happen to them once they ascend to power.
Any way you slice it this was a witch hunt when Armitage cleared up the whole mess right in the beginning.

Yeah, talk about a witch hunt. As the testimonies show, WH officials didn’t think twice before illegally outing Valerie Plame just to smear Je Wilson.

Yes, its about perjury and obstruction in the WH. Remember how much you cared about those charges back when Bill Clinton was the one who had perjured himself in front of a grand jury?
The GOP talking points that no crime was actually committed are patently false. There was a crime. Libby lied to Fitzgerald about how he found out about Plame, blaming Tim Russert. The prosecution has had a weeks worth of witnesses who have testified that Libby knew Plames identity before he was to have had the conversation with Russert. Perjury. And if Cheney had been sworn in in his grand jury testimony, he might be joining ol’ Scooter in the slammer.
For someone that supposedly has so much intelect Condi sure is an awfully forgetful dullard.

In the end they got somebody Scooter Libby who would never have been put in this position if this Farcical Witch hunt had never occurred.
Im not much on Wiki but here you go. I had actually listened to the interview with Robert Novack about this whole affair on his show about how he got the information.
After his identification by Corn and Isikoff in advance word of their book, Richard Armitage, a former deputy secretary of state, acknowledged that he was the initial and “primary source” (Robert Novak’s phrase) for Novak’s column of July 14, 2003 that disclosed the identity of Wilson’s wife Valerie Plame as a CIA “operative”.[6]

Again, uis, the Libby case isn’t about who did it. What’s so difficult to understand about that?

No, not exactly. They only didn’t prove that Bush did it. There’s nothing so far about Rove’s involvement, too. But evidence in the trial shows Cheney played a role.
And, btw, what’s clear know is that Armitage wasn’t the only one leaking information about Plame. Testimony shows other journalists had other sources, primary Libby.
Yes also whats known is that Libby was leaking the information well after Armitage went to the special prosecutor telling him it was her and also after the fact that she had already been exposed.
Again you not listening. If they wanted to fry someone. Armitage went to them in the very beginning and SAID….”I DID IT.”
Set aside your lets get a republican for a minute and understand those words. This is akin to getting a confession to Timothy McVeigh and then embarking on a 2 year investigation and then trying someone else for the crime.
This was a witch hunt that never should have happened. It was proved by the special prosecutor over and over that ROVE

Bush or Chenny had nothing to do with it and even the special prosecutor himself said as much in the end. But that was not good enough.
The fact remains that Libby lied. Yes. Bad Libby but had this witch hunt never occurred then Libby never would have lied and the real culprit in all this (Armitage) would have born the brunt of his sins and America would have a few million more dollars in its bank account.
No. This is a witch hunt. Anyway you slice it. This is a witch hunt just like Clinton was a witch hunt. Neither Should have ever happened and its despicable that both did.
