Man Sentenced To Jail For Youtube Prank

Now clearly this man is a stupid idiot, and he does deserve some punishment, but I am not so sure about jail.

The basic story is that this 21 year old performed a song for a bunch of first graders. It was your typical first grader happy happy kind of song and by all accounts was well received.

But then he took the video of that performance, replaced the audio with a sexually explicit song and posted it to Youtube as a joke.

Parents were understandably not pleased, and the young man was charged with a sex crime. He faced up to 20 yrs in prison but ended up with 60 days in jail as part of a plea bargain. He will spend nights in jail and days in work release.

Now what he did was stupid, disgusting, etc.

But I’m not so sure he deserved jail.
