It seems to me that the growing acknowledgment of Global warming is part of a larger awareness and alarm about the unavoidable consequences of ALL emissions into the environment. CO2 is just the "tipping point" issue. My hope is for our leaders to consider a comprehensive policy to aim for a steady and persistent reduction in all emissions into our air and water. With this would come technological progress that would also become economic opportunity. Imagine what will happen when we discover an economic use for the carbon removed from the air or the sludge removed from the sewage or the minerals removed from desalinization?

The major debate seems to be how can we continue to blame the USA. Put the knife deeper into them, twist and turn it...........while

While.......

While allowing China, India and the former USSR fry and destroy the atmosphere. WHILE I do not deny at all the USA's complicity in this....folks the above are so more guilty of frying the environment and no ones even paying attention. Do some sincere study with an open mind and you might just be as horrified as I am at what those countries are being allowed........no hell....encouraged to do to the atmosphere.

Its mindboggling.
