		<description>The president&#039;s policy on Iraq is tearing apart the Republican party. Loyalists, who either are not up for election in &#039;08 or are running in safe districts, are splintering off from those who fear that the party&#039;s standing will shrink further if we are still over there by the next election. IMO, it is the price they are paying for supporting a failed policy without question for 3 1/2 years. Unlike the president, many congressional Republicans can&#039;t afford to dismiss the polls.</description>
