Some perspective here, please.

I did not attack her as a person, nor say I was glad she was dead. I indeed said that it is always tragic to hear of a person’s death.

I did not proceed to demonize her or say that she was a bad person or had bad intent, as many of Coulter and Malkin’s critics do.

I said nothing negative about her personally at all, in fact, and confined my other comment to one about her style of presenting her point of view. She was a political opinion writer, after all, so I fail to see how I was out of bounds.

She in fact took great pride in being obstinate, over-bearing, and annoying, and never made any effort to ‘sugar coat’ her views, or moderate them in any way. She enjoyed getting people riled, and was indeed quite good at that.

So, for one who as a whole rarely agreed with her, or particularly cared for views or enjoyed her writing style, saying that I wouldn’t miss her professional output is hardly the height of crassness, IMHO.
