Today’s literary quote is from Lydia Maria Child‘s Mrs. Child’s Reply (to a letter sent to her by Mrs. Margaretta Mason):
Men, however great they may be, are of small consequence in comparison with principles
As always, share your thoughts on today’s literary quote of the day in the comment section of this post.
I should have added that Margaretta Mason was the wife of Virginia Senator James Mason.
“You don’t need a vote to raise hell! You need convictions and a voice!”
Mary H. “Mother” Jones
Which came first0 the man or the principle?
Good question Dan.
I’d say, as a Christian, the principle. If there are certain principles that flow from God, from God’s essence, then principles were here first.
Also: for those interested in literature: check out Cosmoetica it is one of the largest literary websites on the entire net. Dan and Jessica are incredibly good.
