"U.S: Israel may have misused cluster bombs"

Another example of the IDF's ignorance towards collateral damage and the suffering of civilians. Israel's image in the world could be much better if it would show some restraint and normal considerateness of the hardships of the arab populations trapped in this quagmire of violence. This criminal negligence will push even more moderate Lebanese to Hezbollah. This is the road to ruin, not the path to peace.

Lots of people know that Blade Runner was based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick. But the title came from a book by a doctor, Alan E. Nourse. A blade runner was a dealer in black market medical supplies and treatment in a future where medical care was reserved for the powerful and wealthy and those who they found most useful.

C.P.: dude, I'm sorry but I had exams. Today was my last one: Culture, Arts & Media. From now on I'll have more time to read articles like the one you suggested, but - quite simply - I could not find the time yet. I'll have to do a couple of posts more tonight and I have to read some literature, but I'll get to it, either very late tonight - around midnight - or first thing in the morning tomorrow. I'm sorry, but, well, have a little patience.

For those who are interested: my exams went... generally... acceptable. Today's exam, for instance, was difficult, but doable. Luckily I have a 'buffer' with most courses, so I can handle a low grade.

Wondering what Culture, Arts & Media exactly is? It's about analyzing American TV shows, literature, movies, etc. Know 'ideologies'. Try to understand what something says about America.

What did we have to analyze?
- Blade Runner
- The Simpsons
- The Sopranos
- The West Wing
- The X-Files
- Photography - how AIDS is depicted
- Oprah's book club - yes, for real
- The Blueest Eye by Toni Morrisson

That's it I believe.

Alan: that is a tremendous question. I hope that someone is able to answer it since I'm interested in it very much as well.

Does anyone know of a site that compares the Democratic candidates and their positions?

I'm having a hard time making up my mind. I tried Project Vote Smart but it only lists a plethora of interest group ratings.
