Extra attention to a few Centrist blogs.
The Gun Toting Liberal notices that the Right seems to be moving to the Left on universal health care.
Amba on the integrity of John McCain: he is committing himself to the surge and… “will go down with it” if it fails.
Tim understands why it is that there are virtually no effective / good American spies in the Mideast: good intelligence is so darn inconvenient.
Jon Swift… some people call Obama mysterious, Jon calls him suspicious. Is Obama Christian or Muslim?
Michael J. Totten reports from Lebanon. One of the best, if not the best original reporters in the blogosphere or blogtopia.
Careles talk costs lives.
I don’t see why Totten’s bragging about that Shia cleric making a sightseeing tour with him was necessary. Let’s hope that nothing happens to that guy. They kill presidents in Lebanon, I don’t think a cleric is untouchable.
It seems to me that this man is considered to be quite an authority. Michael Totten explains that… Besides, it’s his choice. Michael asked whether he could take pictures, as I understand it, it’s all with his approval. That’s his own responsibilty Gray.
For some people, believe it or not, it is about the greater good, despite the consequences of it for their own lives.
That being said, see the first sentence of this comment.
Seems the Cunning Realist found other problems with McCain on MTP. Seems JohnBoy distorted the fact while talking with Tim Russert.
Cunning Realist-Up is Down
Thanks for that link Rudi. I hope that he got his stats mixed up.

“Michael asked whether he could take pictures, as I understand it, it’s all with his approval.”
I must have missed the sentence where he approved to mention his support. And I find nothing in this article that makes me believe the cleric was aware that those picture would end up in an article quite friendly towards the Israelis. Lacking your confidence in Totten’s authority, I can only hope he knows what he is doing.
:-/
Gray, as Totten mentions, it’s not just that the guy is a cleric. That gets respect, but possibly not enough to guarantee his safety. It’s that he is a Saayed (sp?) — a descendent of Mohammed. That’s what makes him untouchable for the faithful.
“It’s that he is a Saayed (sp?) — a descendent of Mohammed. That’s what makes him untouchable for the faithful.”
For the faithful, yes. Isn’t there a remote possibility that there’s at least one secular Hezbollah fighter? Sry, but I still think this is a dangerous game.
