A Quick Personal Note
I’ve gotten some emails about why I’ve been AWOL from TMV for the past two days. It’s due to being an a very long drive, a killing schedule since early yesterday morning and some family issues. All of these kept me offline for 24 hours. I will be posting a bit today en route back to San Diego…but this site’s other fine writers have a lot of things to say (and probably say it better than I do). So keep checking back..

Speaking of AWOL, what has happened to Elrod? Have not seen a comment or story by him for some time. I hope everything is OK with him, I enjoy his insightful comments and take on things concerning the Middle East.

Elrod has some commitments in his non-blog life (that part of our lives does exist) that will keep him from posting for a few more weeks, but he WILL be back.
