CNN reported this?
So the surge in reporting about the Bush speech is already over?
I guess tomorrow the networks will bring the ‘news’ about Natalee Holloway again…
I guess Condi’s TV habits ill get a more prominent place in the papers than this news:
“MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) – A top U.S. official in the region said Thursday that none of the al-Qaida suspects believed to be hiding in Somalia died in a U.S. airstrike this week, but Somalis with close ties to the terrorist group were killed.”
Gee, I guess it doesn’t matter any more if you’re guilty or not- as long as someone can be said to have “close ties” to the guilty parties- thats good enough.
As for Condi preferring Faux News- the WH would probably banish their personnel to Siberia if they admitted to watching CNN!
The Associated Press reports on the heated exchange between Republican Senator Hagel and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during Senate Foreign Relations Hearing this morning:
Rice engaged in a tense exchange with Hagel, a Vietnam veteran and longtime critic of Bush’s Iraq policy, disputing his characterization of Bush’s buildup as an “escalation.
“Putting in 22,000 more troops is not an escalation? Hagel asked. [To that, Rice replied,] “I think, Senator, escalation is not just a matter of how many numbers you put in.
“Would you call it a decrease? Hagel asked.
“I would call it, Senator, an augmentation that allows the Iraqis to deal with this very serious problem that they have in Baghdad, she said.
Hagel told Rice, “Madame Secretary, Iraqis are killing Iraqis. We are in a civil war. This is sectarian violence out of control.
She disputed that Iraq was in the throes of a civil war. To that, Hagel said, “To sit there are say that, that’s just not true.

Maybe Condi’s been Hannitized!
On second thought, this is pathetic:
“My Fox guys, I love every single one of them.
There’s a single woman, not too old, not totally unattractive, and she has to waste her emotions on the TV. Aren’t there any condign bachelors in the Republican African-American Leadership Council, for instance? This woman has to get laid!

Her words are the words of a member of a party that claims to hate media bias of any kind.
She disputed that Iraq was in the throes of a civil war. To that, Hagel said, “To sit there are say that, that’s just not true.

theres a purpose to this story?
Wouldn’t think it would be surprising if any political type has favorite reporters.
On second thought, this is pathetic:

There’s a single woman, not too old, not totally unattractive, and she has to waste her emotions on the TV. Aren’t there any condign bachelors in the Republican African-American Leadership Council, for instance? This woman has to get laid!
She’s looking towards future employment.
From the CNN website: Rice ‘loves’ Fox News; CBS anchor
‘decent guy’
From The New York Post, circa 1975: Ford to NYC: Drop Dead
