The Islamofascist Weather Channel

WARNING: This post is not about the president’s speech.

I’ve had a pretty good case of the ass with the Weather Channel for some time now.

My problem is that it’s no longer content to merely provide national and regional forecasts, which it gets right more often than not, and is pushing more canned content like Greatest Chihuahua Rescues and live programming that consists of two or three perky meteorologists sitting around a coffee table chatting amiably about what it’s like to be trapped in an avalanche.

But I now find myself forced to come to the defense of the WC.

Please click here to find out why.

Well, as I saw in ‘Boston Legal’ yesterday, the MSM isn’t partisan, it just adjust it’s reporting to targeted groups of customers. Nobody will deny that there’s a strong and growing number of people that global warming is real. What problem has Melanie Morgan with companies who simply try to sell their product on a growing market? Isn’t intervention in markets an extreme leftwing idea?
    :D

While I thought the comments about clothing and the photoshopped image were meanspirited and unnecessary, I have to admit that the news ticker at the bottom of that photoshopped FNC screenshot was pretty funny.

“I thought the comments about clothing and the photoshopped image were meanspirited and unnecessary”

CS, Melanie Morgan invited this kind of criticism by saying about Pelosi “We’ve got a bull’s-eye painted on her big, wide, laughing eyes., among other hateful rants.

    Gray,
I’m not impressed when my kids say, “He/she started it”, and I don’t find it any more compelling in adult discussions.

Imho this is a questionable stance. Actually, you’re encouraging provocative behaviour by abstaining from investigating the reasons and not taking sides. Maybe you should consult an expert on parenting.

LMAO! Oh, wait, you’re serious, aren’t you? Sorry, but allowing tit for tat accomplishes nothing and disallowing one kid from excusing his or her own behavior on the basis of having been provoked is NOT the same as “encouraging provocative behavior by abstaining from investigating the reasons”. I never said that I ignore whether or not one kid really did “start it”, but that is different from allowing the other kid to use this to excuse retaliatory behavior.

Substitute the appropriate adults into the passage above for my opinion of whether or not Melanie Morgan’s rants provide justification for juvenile counterattacks.

Hahaha… I don’t expect WorldNetDaily writers to be able to think, but shouldn’t they be somewhat familiar with writing?

Which was exactly where my noggin was when I wrote this post fully expecting the comments thread to head off in a completely different direction. Which of course it has.

The planet seems to have tilted ever so slightly off its axis overnight. I blame the president.

This is all about Big Brother do-gooders trying to control how you live your life, and stripping away the freedoms and liberties of people to live their lives as they see fit, engage in commerce and raise their families. (oh and “sensationalized leftist political advocacy”)
Wow, she is on a rant. But who can blame her, with delusional, leftist, anti-business fear-mongers like Exxon-Mobil trying to scare people about this global warming hoax…

    C,

Take the high road, don’t entertain that dude’s childish attempts. I know you’re better than that. Don’t fall for his B.S. :)

“Oh, wait, you’re serious, aren’t you?”

Where did you get that idea? :D

  13. CStanley says:

Hah, thanks, CP. And sorry, Shaun, for my derailment of the issue at hand with my tangential comment.

    CStanley:

    No apology necessary.
