You might avoid saying everyone at NBC hates George Bush because you’re mad at Keith Olbermann. You’re getting conservative MSNBC talk show host Joe Scarborough mad — so mad he has challenged you to a debate.
I’m sorry for being so cynical- but aren’t these overblown celebrity feuds more about ratings than actual grievances? This type of conflict reminds me more of Trump vs. Rosie than anything else.
Kim, maybe not. While there’s no doubt an element of posturing to what Scarborough is doing, I think there’s a real possibility that he’s trying to make a stand as a principled conservative. There aren’t that many others doing what he’s doing, so I’m holding out some hope he’s got bigger fish to fry than ratings.
I’m not doubting the fact that Scarborough may want to defend his conservative credentials against O’Reilly’s attack, but you gotta admit an on-air showdown would be a ratings bonanza for both of them. I would be interested in seeing the neoconservative school of thought battle it out with the traditional school of conservative thought.
The Gasbag really doesn’t debate, he bloviates. As a demogogue, he needs enemies to make his absurd statements. Truth be damned, Gasbag is defending the common man from Long Island estate.
I’m impressed with the change in Scarborough’s tone, and apparently in his views. Look for lots of other MSM folks to abandon the sinking ship that is the right wing noise machine.
Years ago I saw O’Gassbag debate James Carville (whom I dislike) and was cut to peices, and I mean badly. I doubt he’s gotten any better since then in his bubble of Fox protection.

Scarborough would slaughter him.
