He’s kind of old news, ever since we dropped the dirty bomb charges, but I still think it’s worth noting that it appears that Jose Padilla “has basically gone insane during his time in U.S. military custody, after four years of stress positions and ‘total sensory deprivation.’”

   This makes me sick. Even if he’s guilty that’s against the law. I’ve once again written my congressman and both senators. What else to do?

   There is no silent indian to free his troubled mind. He wasn’t insane before being tortured. We are now doing this to American citizens under the guise of fear and terrorism.

   May the Democrats quickly banish the so-called Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act to the dustbin of history. And may the creeps responsible for the American atrocities at Gitmo and Abu Graib be prosecuted and imprisoned as appropriate. And let’s see the exact text of GW Bush’s torture directive. He probably belongs in prison too.
